Fabio is a passionate cinematographer who loves to bring his creativity into visual storytelling and collaborate with inspiring minds. Born in Portimão, one main location of the Algarve region on the south coast of Portugal, he developed, from an early age, a keen interest in cinema and video. In 2005 he decided to move to Lisbon to undertake a communication and image course. In 2008 he entered the University of Arts and Design studying an BA in Sound and Image where, after two years managed to obtain support from the Portuguese Film Institute for the production of his first short film “Part-Time Queen” as a director. In the same year, he has also been awarded with a scholarship for attending the National Film School in Dublin, Ireland. In 2011, back to Portugal had the opportunity to undertake his first work experience placement at a television company in Lisbon for the role of Camera Operator and Image Editor. In 2012, as a freelancer, he worked at his first feature film named “The Right Juice”, along with the camera department team. After this rewarding experience, he took the decision to move to London, starting to work as a freelancer for short films, advertising and corporate videos. At the beginning of 2014 he decided to take an MA in cinematography at the Goldsmiths College, University of London while keep getting work as a freelancer.

After his graduation, he moved back home and works as a freelancer in Film and Adverts.
